The official language of the conference will be English.
No simultaneous translation will be provided.
All non-residents of the EU are required to have a valid passport.
Participants should check regarding visa requirements for travel to Czech Republic. Applications should be made to the nearest Czech Embassy or Consulate as soon as possible. Citizens of member states of the European Union and the USA do not need visas.
Brno can be reached
by plane
via Vienna International Airport (VIE) and then by train from Wien-Südbahnhof. To reach the Wien-Südbahnhof you can use taxis (ride takes approximately 20 minutes), busses (ride takes approximately 20 minutes, departure in front of the arrival area of VIE, interval 20 minutes).
via Prague International Airport and then best by a bus of the Czech Airlines directly from Prague Airport to Brno (stop near railway station). Ticket can be booked together with your airticket. Alternatively by a train operating between Prague and Brno every 2 hrs (travelling takes about 3 hrs) or by coach operating daily every half an hour (travelling time 2 and half hour).
Direct to Brno Airport by a new Ryanair flight from London Stansted (STN) (consult http://www.ryanair.com/site/EN). There is bus connection to every flight from airport to centre of city as well as taxi available. The airport is in a close distance to city.

or by Czech Airlines from Prague by a new prepared flights starting December 2005
by train
arrival is at Brno-hlavní nádraží. From Brno-hlavní nádraží take tram No. 1 direction to Bystrc Ečerova (7th stop Lipová), where the congress venue is located in walking distance (ca. 3 minutes).
by car
via motorway D1 (from the west or east) or D2 (from the south). Follow the signs directly to Výstaviště (Fair place). Warning! Because Hlinky street is temporarily closed for the traffic (excavation for a new waste tubing) motorists are adviced take from Mendlovo nám.(Mendel's square) Úvoz street up the hill and at the top turn left to Tvrdého street, which leads to Lipová street and conference venue. The pedestrian are allowed to walk along Hlinky street. There are parking places in front of the area accessible from street Vinařská as well as behind the conference hall accessible from Lipová street (consult http://www.brno.cz/mapa/). Places not marked as parking above the venue of symposium are not recommended.
Basic fare in public transport (trams, buses and trolleybuses) is 13 Kč. Tickets are available at the main stations in automatic machines.
The congress venue is accessible from railway station (Brno-hlavní nádraží) by tram No. 1 direction to Bystrc Ečerova (7th stop Lipová). The congress hall and registration office is located in walking distance (ca. 3 minutes).

On request, the Congress Chairman is willing to send personal invitations to prospective participants of the 3rd ICMWCH. Such invitations are only to help participants to raise travel funds or to obtain visas. No commitment is implied on the part of the organizers to provide financial support.
Participants are advised to arrange whatever insurance they consider necessary. No responsibility can be assumed by the Congress for personal accidents, sickness, theft, or property damage suffered by the participants.
Weather in September is usually warm and sunny (18-25 °C). However, evenings may be cool and there is some possibility of brief showers. Thus, a jacket or a raincoat and an umbrella may be useful.
The electrical current is 230 volts, 50 Hz.

Money can be changed at the airport, at banks, exchange bureaus, and larger hotels.
For a cash advance, credit cards can be used at cash dispensers (Bankomat) which are available all over the city.
Typical shopping hours are Monday to Friday 09:00am - 6:00pm and Saturday 10:00am - 1:00pm. Apart from restaurants, some tobacconists and small supermarkets at petrol stations and at the main railway stations, shops are closed on Sundays. Some supermarkets located mostly outside of the city have longer opening hours and are reachable by a free bus transport leaving from stops near railway station.
